Thomas R. Doolittle, ASLA, specializes in the design and implementation of large-scale urban transportation projects, and particularly in developing appropriate and comfortable pedestrian environments as an essential part of streetscape, highway, and other infrastructure improvement programs. His work also focuses on the development and implementation of public involvement processes. Tom is a Principal Professional with Kleinfelder, an international design and environmental firm, where he is charged with the establishment and growth of the company’s urban design and planning group servicing transportation and municipal clients. Prior Tom held positions with Gilbane Building Company, Sasaki Associates, HNTB Corporation, Carol R. Johnson Associates, where he was a Principal, and the Halvorson Design Partnership. His project experience includes the Revere Transit Facility and Streetscape Project, a transit-oriented development project at the MBTA’s Wonderland Blue Line station, Infrastructure planning and design management for Harvard University’s Allston Development Program in Allston, MA, the reconstruction of Vassar Street on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA, the Maumee River Crossing project in Toledo, OH, and the Central Artery/Tunnel Project in Boston.
