Cultural Activities

As a visual arts and design school, our students love to take advantage of the expansive museum and artistic offerings throughout the city. Some favorites include the Museum of Fine Arts, Boch Center, Boston Museum of Science, Institute of Contemporary Art, New England Aquarium, and Children's Museum.

Walking and Outdoor Adventures

Want to take a nice stroll? We are a block away from the beautiful Commonwealth Avenue Mall that leads right to the Public Garden and Boston Common. The Charles River Esplanade is another great spot for jogging, cycling, and even sailing, and the Freedom Trail loops you through the city to all of the most historic locations.

Want to get some retail shopping therapy? Pick a store and between nearby Newbury Street, Boylston Street, Prudential Center, and Copley Place you're bound to find it! Other favorites include Blick Art Materials and Harvard Square.

Sporting Events

Whether or not you're a fan of the "Sawx," it's hard to deny that Boston loves its sports teams. You can cheer on the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, or Boston Bruins right here in town. The annual Head of the Charles Regatta on the Esplanade is another popular event that draws big crowds to see the boat races up and down the Charles.

You're never at a loss for things to do in Boston, from outdoor concerts by the Boston Pops, Broadway in Boston shows, First Night activities, the annual Earth Day event, and the world-famous Fourth of July celebration.

Restaurants and Nightlife

Whatever you're craving from a chill café to a high-end steakhouse the Back Bay has more than enough restaurants to keep you busy. You'll also find plenty of student favorites to pass the time, such as shows at the Wilbur Theatre, dance and music clubs on Lansdowne Street near Fenway Park, and concerts at the TD Garden.
