Cate has practiced landscape architecture at distinguished design firms in the Boston area for over 30 years including as Associate at The SWA Group and Burck Ryan Associates and Senior Associate at Sasaki Associates before starting Catherine Oranchak/ Landscape Architect in 2010. Her varied experience spans projects of all shapes and sizes in urban, institutional, corporate, and residential sectors for both public and private clients. Cate has been teaching at the Boston Architectural College since 2013. In addition, she taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and The Landscape Institute of Harvard University as well as participated in design juries at Harvard Graduate School of Design and The University of Connecticut Storrs. Cate holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Cate's passion for sharing her knowledge and experience with others drives her ambition to continue to combine teaching and professional practice.
