The BAC program structures allow for resourceful students to excel in amazing ways. A model that can serve the most capable student, while remaining accessible to any, is a rare asset to the design community. During this period of reimagining and renaissance at the school I am lucky to have been invited to contribute to its evolution, working along with a truly inspiring student, faculty, and administrative body. The BAC is a unique nexus, of which I am proud to be a member.

Colin explored a number of design-related fields before finally finding architecture, which bridged his academic and activist interests. Throughout his time at the BAC he has focused on furthering his understanding of sustainable design; its impacts on the design process, the issues surrounding interdisciplinary contributions, its impacts on firm culture, and the implications of translating green concepts and strategies into architectural concepts. These interests, along with a commitment to strengthening the school's studio culture, have lead him to become an active member of the BAC community, serving for years on a wide variety of student and BAC board committees.

During his study at the BAC, Colin has been extremely active in mentoring younger students and has participated in a number of forums and discussions, including a Year One Practice Forum. He has participated in an annual Board Retreat, which focused on strengthening the relationship between practice and academics. Colin currently serves as the Project Manager for The Boston Architectural College and Tufts University 2009 Solar Decathlon project.
