Borrowing basics

Borrowing limit:
15 Books
Renewal limits:
3 Renewals
Overdue book limit
If 5 or more books are overdue, you cannot renew online and no other material may be borrowed
Fine limit:
$5.00 or more, you cannot renew online nor can you borrow until your fines are below the limit

Loan Periods (Specific to your student enrollment in a degree or certificate program, staff, faculty, or committee member status)

Certificate Program, Continuing Education, Undergraduate, Faculty, Committee Members, Alumni
Borrowing length: 2 weeks (14 days):
Masters, Thesis
Borrowing length: 4 weeks (28 days)
Distance Masters, Distance Masters thesis
Borrowing length: full term
Distance M. Arch thesis students, Thesis students.
May keep materials between semesters

If you are not enrolled in a degree or a certificate program

Students currently taking a leave of absence may pay a $50 deposit to borrow. Undergraduate or masters students who are enrolled in the Fall or Spring semester and want to borrow during the next semester (but are not enrolled for that upcoming semester) may also have borrowing privileges if they pay a $50 deposit for the semester. $50 will be returned at the end of the semester to all who borrow under these conditions if all books are returned and fines are paid at the end of the semester.

Continuing Education (CE) students may have borrowing privileges if they pay a $50 deposit for the semester they are currently enrolled. $40 will be returned at the end of the semester to all who borrow under these conditions if all books are returned and fines are paid at the end of the semester.

Alumni may borrow. A one time $65 deposit is required plus a $65 annual fee. 

Library Fines (cash payment only)

Basic book fine: .10 per day per book
Recalled books: $1.00 per day
Lost books: $35 for processing if the book is in print, $50 if the book is out print, plus the cost of the book
