The Association
You should be proud to be counted part of an ever-growing, talented, diverse group of individuals who have benefited greatly from the design education provided at the BAC.
You probably have vivid memories of your hard work and accomplishments at the BAC. That is why the Alumni Association wants your involvement as we move forward to help the BAC Community create a vibrant future in the Design Fields.
Here's what the Alumni Association has been doing recently, and what we hope to work on over the next couple of years:
Mentoring
- We have very successful "Spring Practicum" events with the Academic Only Program. These are evening workshops with mock interviews and portfolio reviews to help AOP students prepare for their first job interviews.
- We are working with Practice Component and Academic Advising to match current students with alumni practitioners on a voluntary basis. The objective is to make available holistic advice on the BAC experience (balancing work with school, choosing when and where to change jobs, etc.).
Recognition and Awards We now recognize alums with three awards:
- The Distinguished Alumni in Service, awarded at Commencement, honors service to the BAC and to the community at large.
- The Distinguished Alumni in Practice, awarded at Build Boston, recognizes design achievement.
- The Selfless Labor Award (named for the Cascieri beehive sculpture), awarded at the Cascieri Lecture reception, recognizes long-term commitment and support of the BAC educational model.
- We continually help to recruit juries for BAC student scholarships and awards.
Alumni Services
We're working to make job opportunities for alumni available through the BAC job posting service, and to make it easier for alums to find and hire current BAC students.
