Welcome to the BAC Alumni home page! We encourage you to visit on a regular basis to keep informed of recent BAC news, Alumni Association activities, professional development opportunities, BAC exhibitions and lectures, and much more. As an alum, you are our greatest resource! We invite you to return to the BAC to teach, mentor students, volunteer with the Alumni Association, or share your knowledge and experience with others at networking events. Message from Alumni Association President

Greetings, Alumni: I am pleased to take over the reins as President of the BAC Alumni Association from an extraordinary alum who has done an outstanding job in leading the organization – my sincere thanks to Bernie Goba for the tremendous work he has accomplished. I plan to continue to grow the programs and outreach initiatives that Bernie has fostered, and I will strive to meet the high standards that he has put firmly into place.
My tenure as President begins amidst high expectations, based on the exciting progress that we have already made. A perfect example is the Alumni Exhibition during the AIA convention last summer, which displayed the amazing work and talents of so many of our alumni across a broad range of disciplines. We have organized special tours including the Peabody Essex Musuem and MIT’s Stata Center. Our by-laws have been revamped and now serve as a firm guidance tool for our governance, and we continue to support the Cascieiri Lecture and the College’s fundraising efforts. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members to continue the Association’s good work on behalf of the BAC.
Your own educational and professional ties to the BAC gain intrinsic value as the College continues to flourish in the local design community, and develops a national reputation through our distance and online programs. Indeed, the BAC is experiencing significant growth and expansion. Support from our alumni is critical to ensure the College’s future. We urge you to serve as a faculty member, practice firm, volunteer or mentor. We also urge you to give to the BAC. Your gift will support student financial aid and resources, curriculum development, library and technology upgrades, physical plant improvements, and professional development opportunities for our faculty.
As a student, you were the beneficiary of the generosity of those who went before you. As a member of the Alumni Association, I hope you will join me in “paying it forward” on behalf of the students of today and tomorrow. Now, more than ever, alumni support is vital to fulfilling the BAC’s mission. Thank you for your support, and we wish you a healthy and happy 2009!
