Faculty Services strives to support excellence in teaching by providing the services and resources instructors need to excel in the classroom. The department's goals are to:

  • promote and recognize effective and innovative teaching;
  • facilitate discussion and enhanced understanding about teaching methodology, learning styles, and other issues central to effective teaching and learning;
  • encourage research interests, particularly the testing of new concepts in architecture, design studies, interior design, and landscape architecture education and their relationship to practice;
  • provide feedback on classroom instruction through evaluation and consultation;
  • communicate information about events, policies, procedures, seminars, and conferences of interest to faculty.

The BAC's Faculty Services Department assists instructors with their teaching and research needs. The office is located in the Education Center on the second floor and is open Monday through Thursday evenings until 10:30pm and Fridays from 9am to 5pm. Faculty Services supplements information and support provided by program directors and serves as a key resource with all photocopying and room scheduling needs.
