Advising
All international students must meet with an academic advisor at least once per calendar year. In addition, they must meet with the international student advisor, prior to registering for classes each semester.
Practice Curriculum
International students participate in the practice component of the BAC's educational program through paid or unpaid employment. Paid employment requires authorization to work from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). International students qualify for USCIS authorization only for those employers who satisfy the practice component of the BAC's educational program. Authorization to work lasts for one calendar year. It must be renewed each year. International students must be sure that their individual employers are listed on page three of their I-20. Authorization to work ceases once international students complete the BAC requirement of 54 credits (Master of Architecture program) or 45 credits (Master of Interior Design program).
International Student Group
The Global Student Association (GSA) is a group affiliated with Atelier (the student government at the BAC). GSA promotes student life for international students at the BAC through workshops and social gatherings. Domestic students are welcome to participate in I-BAC.
