Media & Photography
Media Services provides equipment and support to BAC faculty for classes and all class-related events and presentations at both Newbury Street and Mass Avenue. Media equipment may be reserved for a specific date or for the duration of a class and must be picked up in the Media/IT office on the 4th floor. All equipment should be reserved two weeks prior to the date you will need it or the start of the class to ensure availability.
Media equipment includes slide, overhead, and LCD projectors, laptops, TVs, VCRs and DVD players. Faculty may reserve equipment by calling Media Services at 617 585-0185, or email your request to media.services@the-bac.edu or fill out the Media Request Form. Be sure to give us the date, time, building, equipment and room number as well as your contact information in case we have questions.
If your class takes place in Cascieri Hall, we can arrange for a staff member to meet you in the lecture hall to go over the equipment and its use. We will happily train you or a representative from your class how to use the media equipment already located in Cascieri Hall.
If you require a special setup and/or a dedicated media staff member for an event, call Media Services at 617 585-0185 at least 2 weeks prior to the event to discuss the details of the event. All effort will be made to assist when possible and when notice is given.
Students requiring equipment for a class presentation should ask their instructor to reserve the equipment for them. Thesis students may request equipment for thesis reviews only. When calling to reserve your equipment, be sure to state you are scheduling equipment for your review.
Media equipment for staff events and meetings should be procured through Media Services at 617 585-0185.
The BAC also has 35mm and digital cameras available for use by BAC faculty, students & staff, as well as additional 35mm and 4 x 5 cameras for use in house or in class. Cameras are lent overnight only may be picked up in the 4th floor office at 320 Newbury Street. You may also reserve cameras to ensure availability.
The BAC has a photo studio and laser cutter for use by all BAC faculty, students & staff. The photo studio and laser lab are available by appointment only. Should you need help or require and orientation before using the equipment or media labs, please make an appointment through the Media Services Department by calling 617-585-0185, emailing media.services@the-bac.edu or stopping by the Newbury St 4th Floor office.

- Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Sunday: 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Please note that hours change during Summer and Winter Holiday breaks.
