Writing and Research Consultants
Suzanne Cope (Consultant) is completing her MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing at Lesley University. She has worked with a variety of student populations, including being a teaching assistant for writing classes at Lesley.
Christina Liu (Consultant) has an MFA in Poetry from Emerson College. She has taught and tutored writing there and at the BAC. Here at the BAC she has taught both Expository and Research Writing and worked as an ESL tutor. She is a published poet with work appearing in Poetry Hotel, Phantasm, Dream International Quarterly, and the online magazine noochbomb, and has also been the featured poet at various venues in the Boston area including Stone Soup Poets, the Cantab Lounge, and Women Reading.
Connie Richard (Consultant) has an MFA in Poetry from Emerson College and has taught and tutored writing at the BAC for more than four years. At present she is teaching Expository Writing. She also tutors in the Writing Centers at Berklee and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences.
Elizabeth Stuhlsatz (Consultant) is entering her third year teaching Research Writing at the BAC and tutoring in the Learning Resource Center. She received her Masters in Literature at UMass-Boston where she also tutored freshman writing and co-taught a literature course. These days she is also tutoring over at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences.
Joshua White (Director) has a Masters in Writing from Emerson College and has been teaching and tutoring writing and ESL for close to 15 years. He founded the BAC’s Writing Center in the fall of 1999 and has guided its development into the Learning Resource Center today. At the BAC he teaches Expository Writing, Research Writing, and Graduate Research & Writing. He has also taught at other schools including Emerson, Bentley and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. In real life, he is a playwright with several local productions and has taught play writing to school-age children
Additional Tutoring Staff
Mark Beckwith (Structures) is a Masters of Architect candidate with an undergraduate degree in Engineering. He is in his second year tutoring the for the LRC.
Gabrielle Deifik (Structures) is a fourth year Master’s of Architecture candidate who has tutored a variety of subjects for the LRC over the past three years. She has Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Holy Cross where she tutored Latin.
Paul Governor (Structures ) Master’s of Architecture candidate. He has tutored all levels of Structures for several years.
Peter Gruhn (CAD) is a 2nd semester Bachelor’s student. He has an Associates Degree from Scottsdale Community College in Architectural Technology and has spent many years doing software programming.
Ethan Holtzman (Math, Physics) is the Coordinator of Math and Physics at the BAC. He has a Master’s in Math and Physics and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Advanced Statistics. Previously he has taught at UMass-Dartmouth and Boston University.
Daniel Kokonowski (CAD) is in his 4th year Bachelor of Design Studies Candidate with a concentration in Design Computing.
Matthew Strong (Structures) teaches Math and Structures 2 at the BAC and is in his second year as a tutor. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois with a focus on structures. He is the LRC’s Renaissance Man, regularly copying famous poems onto the Center’s white board
Christyn Sheriff (CAD) is a fourth year Master’s of Architecture student who has tutored CAD for the past several semesters. Presently she is employed by Carter-Burgess. Beyond the BAC, she has traveled extensively including spending five years in Japan. In her spare time she likes to bicycle and play the piano.
