Admission

The BAC is currently accepting applications for Fall 2010 for all onsite degree programs. The fall semester begins on Monday, August 30.

The Boston Architectural College welcomes prospective students looking to explore design or become licensed professionals through one of the college’s degree programs in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, or Design Studies.  Students interested in entering a program at the BAC should begin the process by learning about the college.  The steps to becoming a student at the BAC are listed below:

1.   Learn about the BAC - Obtain information about the college and the degrees offered.  Prospective students may learn about the BAC by requesting information be mailed to them, attending an Information Session, or arranging a personal meeting with an admissions counselor.

2.   Apply to the BAC - Once a prospective student decides to proceed, the next step is to apply for admission.  The BAC maintains a policy of open admission. This policy expresses one of the college’s most important values: that design education ought to be accessible to all who are capable of and committed to pursuing it.  The college also operates on a rolling admissions basis, so there is no deadline to apply (though, prospective students are strongly encouraged to apply sooner rather than later, to allow for a smooth transition into the beginning of their degrees, and for best consideration for financial aid).

3.   Be Accepted and Attend Orientation - Applicants who have submitted all of their admissions materials are reviewed for acceptance on an on-going basis for consideration to start in either the Fall (September) or Spring (late January) semester.  Once accepted, students attend New Student Orientation, where they engage in a variety of activities and register for courses.
