Admissions - Practicing Professionals Distance M.Arch

The Boston Architectural College welcomes new students to apply to the College's NAAB-accredited Practicing Professionals Distance M.Arch. The BAC has a long, rich history of educating professionals in architecture. Since 1889, the institution has been strongly connected to the profession of architecture. As a college, the BAC provides a unique educational model through its concurrent learning format. Students earn credits through classroom experiences, as well as through time spent working in the profession. The college’s Distance M.Arch degree allows students from around the country to earn a full NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture, close to where they live and work, while continuing to practice as a professional in architecture. Upon graduation, students are expected to able to qualify to test immediately for licensure.

To apply to the Practicing Professionals Distance M.Arch, students must complete an admissions file, which will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee to determine eligibility and acceptance into the program. There are a limited number of seats in the Practicing Professionals Distance M.Arch, so acceptance is not guaranteed, and early application is strongly encouraged.

To apply, please submit the following required materials for your Admissions file:

  • Application form
  • Application fee
  • Official Transcripts
  • Essay
  • Resume
  • Portfolio
  • Practice Documentation

After your admissions file is complete, your materials will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.  Should the committee need additional information, you will be contacted.  Once an acceptance decision has been reached, you will be mailed a letter informing you of the decision.
