The Boston Architectural College celebrates a new generation of designers in this exhibition of the work of our 2009 degree program graduates.
On display are Masters’ Thesis and Bachelors’ Degree Projects by BAC Architecture, Interior Design and Design Studies graduates. Included is work from the first graduates of the BAC’s groundbreaking Distance Master of Architecture program, the first fully-accredited degree program of its kind in the United States.
Students at the BAC explore the ethical practice of design; form and function in spatial environments. Their education is balanced in a curriculum that enables students to experience professional practice and academic disciplines of spatial design through laboratory and lecture. The dynamic between intellectual ideas and experiential practice in the community is the basis for the meaningful, critical design thinking exemplified in this exhibition.
Today, the work of designers directly affects how we will live on and cooperate with our planet in the future. Such explorations at the Boston Architectural College have equipped these students to facilitate a drastic change in design on a global scale.
Our sincere appreciation goes to the practicing professionals who guide our students and who are committed to Academic excellence at the BAC. We make special note of the many design firms who support BAC students’ learning through the Practice component of the BAC’s concurrent curriculum.
Congratulations to the 2009 graduates of the Boston Architectural College, a new generation of design leaders.
Exhibitions in the McCormick Gallery are free and open to the public.
