The BAC's curriculum and practice based education aims to create real work experiences. To meet that goal, the BAC offers a wide range of industry standard - as well as cutting edge - technology to create an optimal educational experience and support for work based projects for its students.
The resources available range from high-performance computing - available on any of the 100+ lab machines, to 3D physical producetion with laser cutters, a CNC router, and 3D Printers, to large format printing and scanning, to node rendering using the render farm. For those wishing to expand on these foundational technical skills, the Computation Design Research Lab or CO/DE/R lab, has an extensive array of software packages and technologies that are available to all students.
Located on the 4th floor of 320 Newbury Street, the computing labs are available to all students when the building is open. The labs are maintained by our Technology Resource group, helpdesk technicians, and application support specialists. The application specialists are well versed in the software programs used in coursework and assist in the educational process.
