Professional Staff
Liz Stuhlsatz (Manager) has taught Research Writing at the BAC and tutored in the Learning Resource Center for several years. She received her Master's in English Literature at UMass-Boston. She likes Monty Python and the cat on her desk isn't real, she swears.
Akshay Ahuja (Writing Consultant) works at Ploughshares magazine in Emerson College, and is a writer and tutor. He lives in Somerville, MA, with his wife, and enjoys gardening and learning how to play new instruments badly.
Melissa Carubia (Physics) received a BS in physics from Boston College, receiving the honor of Scholar of the College for the physics department. She also holds a Master of Music in Composition. She now teaches physics at the BAC and works with Boston's inner-city youth through Urban Improv.
Susannah Clark (Writing Consultant) teaches freshmen writing at Emerson College, where she is in her final year pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing. After working as a journalist in Washington D.C., Susannah now breaks the rules and writes Creative Nonfiction. She writes things that she thinks are true, and then spends a lot of time stressing out about if other people will consider them true. She is a proud lefty.
Beth Price (Writing Consultant) earned her MFA in Fiction from Emerson College. She teaches Research Writing at the BAC and a "Graphic Novels as Literature" continuing ed course at Emerson, and conducted historic tours of the Old North Church on the Freedom Trail.
