Boston Architectural College
Boston Architectural College's Summer Academy is a four-week design exploration program for high school students that includes hands-on experience working in the BAC design studios exploring the fundamental processes of architecture and design. Working individually and in small group teams, students construct scale models and experiment with a range of other design techniques including collage, free-hand drawing, full-scale prototyping, mapping and diagramming. In addition to studio work, experience is also gained through presentations, short lectures, visits to local design firms and field trips to new and historic architecture and landscape design projects in Boston and Cambridge. At the end of July, student work is on exhibit for two weeks in the BAC Gallery at 320 Newbury St.
