Meghan is a Master of Landscape Architecture candidate at the BAC. She grew up in Summit, NJ, and was exposed to design while a freshman in high school. An architectural drafting class introduced her to CAD software and plotters. "I found the whole process fascinating," she remarks.
Her fascination led her to complete a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree at Connecticut College. After graduation, Meghan moved to Vietnam to teach at Vietnam National University. That experience inspired her to think about the role of public urban spaces, especially where compact parks are used by a multitude of people.
Though initially intimidated by a move to a new city and a return to the design field, Meghan has established her home in Boston by connecting with her peers and instructors at the BAC. Her favorite experience has been a public art trip to New York City with Maria Bellalta, Head of Landscape Architecture, and some of her classmates. Their shared enthusiasm for the spaces, sketches, and discussions motivates Meghan to organize more opportunities for similar experiences for her classmates.
