Marilyn Swartz-Lloyd is the President and CEO of MASCO, the area planner and service provider for the 21 institutions in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area. MASCO offers its members development and transportation planning, parking, transportation services, office space, group purchasing programs, telecommunications and child care.
Previously, Ms. Swartz-Lloyd was Senior Advisor to the President of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She was also a Principal in the BRF&G Consulting Group, advising clients in real estate, strategic planning and economic development. She was President of Beacon Management Company, a property management firm and Executive Director of the Economic Development and Industrial Corporation of Boston.
Ms. Swartz-Lloyd is currently on the Board of Directors of Lau Technologies and of NAIOP, a founding member of Northeastern's Center for Urban and Regional Policy, a member of Mayor Menino's Green Ribbon Commission Transportation Working Group, an Honorary Board member of Dimock Community Health Center, and an Honorary Life Member of the International Economic Development Council, where she was formerly national president.
She has published and lectured nationally and internationally on topics ranging from city planning to economic and institutional development to women in business. Ms. Swartz-Lloyd holds a BA in government from Smith College and a Master of City Planning from Yale University.
