Luis. A. Barsotti is a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture candidate at the BAC. Born in Sao Paulo Brazil, Luis moved to Miami when he was sixteen. After high school, he studied biology at Atlantic Union College and then architecture at the BAC.

Influenced by his artist mother, Luis liked to draw, create, and transform spaces as a child. He was fascinated with art and science and finally realized in college he could combine the two interests into one profession. This is what made him decide to switch his major to Landscape Architecture in 2007.

While at the BAC, Luis is developing the necessary skills and knowledge to become a successful landscape architectural student and designer and is most proud of his accomplishments in his BAC studio courses. Reflecting on his learning, he says, "The passion and commitment that I have developed throughout my years as a design student, has helped me discover my own design characteristics and interests and establish a design foundation that will serve me well as I continue to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture."

In the world of practice, Luis participated in a BAC gateway project where he acted as project manager to lead four other students. He has also completed freelance rendering jobs for realty developers and is currently interning for rdla, a landscape architectural office located in Jamaica Plain, MA.

Luis served as the President of the BAC's Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (SASLA) during 2012-2013.
