Kyle Sturgeon serves as Director of Advanced Architecture Studios and Building Technology at the Boston Architectural College, a founding member of the Productive Collective - a Boston-based design collaborative - and Section Cut's Director of Development.
Kyle holds a Masters of Architecture with high distinction from University of Michigan (2011), where he was awarded Graduate Thesis Prize, the Alpha Rho Chi Medal, and the AIA Henry Adams Certificate.
After completing his Bachelors of Science in Architecture with honors at the University of Virginia (2005), Kyle has worked for five years with the Boston-based firms of Office Da, Kennedy & Violich Architecture, and Safdie Architects. He holds a Certificate in Design Education from the BAC and maintains a Construction Supervisor's License in Massachusetts.
Kyle's teaching, writing, and design work have been exhibited, published, and delivered at conferences internationally. Current work focuses on intersections between sustainable technologies and lifestyle, urban agriculture, and the act of curation.
