The Boston Architectural College is pleased to announce that Marilyn Moedinger, BAC Director of the Gateway Initiative and Instruction and Assessment in Practice, was named to the Advisory Board of the NuLawLab at Northeastern's Law School.
NuLawLab is an innovation laboratory that employs structured creative processes such as "design thinking" to identify, implement and assess solutions to some of the most significant challenges facing legal education and the profession. The Advisory Board was assembled to bring unique knowledge and skills to the lab, and to make recommendations from their unique areas of expertise.
"This is a really wonderful opportunity to bring design thinking into realms where it hasn't really been present before," said Marilyn. "Design and law educators have a lot to learn from each other as we discern better ways of teaching and the next generations of designers and lawyers."
Marilyn joined the BAC in 2012 to as the Director of the Gateway Initiative and Director of Instruction and Assessment in Practice. She directs all aspects of the Gateway Initiative, a service-learning initiative that provides pro-bono design services to non-profits and municipal agencies throughout the greater Boston area. Previously, Marilyn practiced architecture in Boston and in Charlottesville, VA, where she earned her BS in Architecture and Master of Architecture at the University of Virginia.
