The Boston Architectural College is pleased to announce that Anthony Frausto-Robledo '96, AlA, LEED AP was honored with the 2013 Alumni in Practice Award for Architecture on November 20, 2013 at the BAC Reception at ABX. Anthony was nominated and selected to receive the award by his Alumni peers who gratefully acknowledge the contributions he has made to the profession at the intersection of computer technology and the design process, informing the global architecture, engineering, and construction communities.
The BAC Alumni Association presents Practice Awards to alumni who have made significant contributions to the design community. Alumni who receive this award are considered to be those who bring honor to their professions and provide exemplary service in the fields of architecture and interior design.
"As Publisher, Founder, and Editor of Architosh (http://architosh.com/), Anthony has created a platform that informs the global design community with insight and content that advances the design, architecture, engineering, and construction industries," said William Boxx '06, BAC Alumni Association Board President. "Architosh has been recognized as the leading internet magazine dedicated to Mac & #iOS CAD and 3D professionals and students worldwide, and has created such content as the ‘Ultimate iPad Guide: Apps for Architects,' and a ‘best of show' awards program at the AIA National Convention. It's amazing to me that this is happening in our backyard, and is being led by a fellow member of the BAC Alumni community."
Anthony graduated from the BAC in 1996 with a Bachelor of Architecture. He was a Senior Designer with Koetter Kim & Associates and in 1998 established BritasMedia, an IT consultancy firm. Anthony serves as the Founder, Publisher, and Editor in Chief of Architosh, the leading Internet magazine that serves Mac and iOS based CAD and 3D professionals and students. From 1997-2000 he taught Thesis Studio and architectural design and theory classes at the BAC. He is currently an Associate with Morehouse MacDonald & Associates, Inc., is a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council, is a registered architect in the state of Rhode Island, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
