Bob Brooks

Bob Brooks has degrees in geography and landscape architecture and has been a practicing landscape architect for 29 years. Having begun practice with John O. Simonds, author of Earthscape, he was directed toward an environmental sustainability ethic from the very beginning. The majority of his career to date has been at Halvorson Design Partnership where his scope focused on design of green projects such as Massachusetts Audubon's Boston Nature Center and the Appalachian Mountain Club's Highland Center in Crawford Notch, NH, both multiple award winning projects.

Bob has been involved in several green roof projects and in 2006 worked with Green Roofs for Healthy Cities in development of their 200-level course, first offered at their 2006 International Conference. He has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2003, and was instrumental in forming the Massachusetts Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors. He has taught at Roger Williams University as well as the BAC.
