LAF-funded BAC student-faculty research

Professors Maria Bellalta, Department Head, and Aidan Acker, Adjunct Faculty, and student Research Assistant Jaryd McGonagle (MLA candidate) are participating in LAF's 2013 (Case Study Investigation) CSI program and working to quantify the environmental, economic, and social benefits of three diverse landscape projects. The Case Study Investigation program is a unique research collaboration that matches funded student-faculty research teams with leading practitioners to document the benefits of exemplary high-performing landscape projects. Teams develop methods to quantify environmental, economic and social benefits and produce Case Study Briefs for LAF's Landscape Performance Series. This summer, they are studying three projects: Parc Nouvelle by Martha Schwartz Partners, Watch Factory by Richard Burck Associates, and Erie Street Plaza by StossLU.
