Commencement Eve Honors and Awards Ceremony

Join us as we congratulate graduates at our BAC Commencement 2012 celebration. The weekend activities will begin on Friday, May 25th at 6:00pm with a special Honors and Awards Ceremony that will recognize student achievements. This evening will offer refreshments and live music in the BAC's McCormick Gallery as well as an awards ceremony beginning at 7:00pm in Cascieri Hall. There will also be an opportunity to view the impressive thesis and degree project student work of our graduates. All are welcome to participate.

BAC Commencement 2012 Exercises will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 11:00am at Old South Church, 645 Boylston Street, Boston. All graduates are required to arrive to the BAC at 9:00am Commencement morning. We strongly encourage our January 2012 and August 2011 graduates to return in May and participate in the Commencement Ceremony, so achievement of all BAC graduates can be honored. RSVPs are required of each graduate and information will be sent via email. Please contact commencement@the-bac.edu with questions. See below for more information on inviting guests.
BAC Commencement Reception

Following the Commencement Ceremony, a reception with light refreshments will be held in BAC's Cascieri Hall (320 Newbury St.). Graduates, families, and friends are all welcome to participate.
Guests
Seating is limited, but tickets are NOT required of guests who attend the 2012 Commencement Ceremony at Old South Church. Seating will be first come, first served. Due to the expected number of participants, we ask that each graduate limit their total number of guests to no more than 5. Information on how to RSVP will be sent via email to all graduates. If you are a BAC student, alumni, faculty member, board of trustee member, or overseer and interested in attending the Commencement ceremony, please RSVP to commencement@the-bac.edu. RSVPs are required by March 30, 2012.
Robes and Regalia
Graduation regalia will be provided to all BAC students participating in the Commencement Ceremony. Graduates should RSVP and order regalia by March 30, 2012 using the weblink that was emailed to them. Robes, hoods and berets will be available in Cascieri Hall at 320 Newbury St. on Commencement morning. Participating graduates must arrive to Cascieri Hall by 9:00am on Saturday, May 26th to robe for the procession to Old South Church. Following the distribution of robes, hoods and berets, a class photograph will be taken in front of the BAC building. Procession line-up will immediately follow and the parade will depart. All participants must return their robe and hood to the BAC, 320 Newbury Street, immediately following the Commencement Ceremony. Robes and hoods will be collected at the first floor conference room. Graduates will receive their personalized diploma as soon as their robe and hood is returned. The beret is a gift to the graduates from the BAC.
Photography
Professional photographs of the Commencement ceremony will be available to all graduates.
Parking and Transportation
A trolley service will be available for guests and participants on Saturday, May 26th. The trolley will be at the BAC building from 9:30am to 11am to take guests to Old South Church for the Commencement Ceremony. The trolley will also be available from 1pm to 2pm in front of Old South Church, to take guests back to the BAC at the completion of the ceremony. Metered parking is available on Newbury St. and surrounding streets. Garage parking may also be available at:
- Danker and Donohue Garage, 347 Newbury Street (limited spaces available)
- Pilgrim Parking, 50 Dalton Street
- Prudential Center Garage, 800 Boylston Street
Accommodations
There are various hotels located nearby the BAC and Old South Church (ceremony location) in the Back Bay neighborhood. It is recommended to reserve accommodations as soon as possible, since it is a holiday weekend and there are many events scheduled in Boston.
