Searching for and Applying to Jobs

To begin your job search, select "Jobs" from the menu bar at the top of the page. In the drop-down menu, you will see an option for "Practice Lab." This refers to positions that employers have posted on the site for you and that have been screened and approved by the Practice Department.* The other options on the menu are links to external websites that will be useful to you in your job search.

Remember: Take the time to prepare a quality resume and cover letter before submitting your job application!

*Please note: The Practice Department makes every effort to screen employers and job postings; however, students are encouraged to exercise caution and use common sense when using this site. For more information on how to recognize fraudulent job postings, click here.

Employers: Post a Job

Employers play an instrumental role in shaping a BAC student's experiential learning and professional development. Since the BAC's inception in 1889, BAC students have worked at hundreds of firms and organizations in the Boston area, often becoming valued members of their workforce.

If you are looking for full-time or part-time help at a firm or design-related company, we invite you to post your job description to our online job database, Practice Lab.

Please note: all positions must be paid. We do not accept unpaid internships.

To Register for an Employer Account/Post a Job:

  • Go to Practice Lab.
  • Click the "Employer" button on the main screen.
  • If you have posted on Practice Lab before, enter your user name and password.
  • If you have not previously posted on Practice Lab, click "Register" or "Register to Post Local Job" on the right sidebar.
  • The system will guide you through the registration and job posting process. Please provide all the necessary information to the best of your ability. (Read here about Skill Level.)

The Practice Department reviews all new employers and job postings before approving them for Practice Lab. If a job posting is approved, it will be visible on Practice Lab, a password-protected, online database of jobs and paid internships that is available exclusively for BAC students and alumni. Please allow at least one business day to process your information, after which you will be able to log in and view your job listing.
