The MLA Thesis Studio comprises the second semester of the thesis course sequence. The aim of this course is to complete a Thesis Project; a landscape architectural project that is a demonstration of the graduate student's readiness and capacity to engage responsibly and creatively in the profession of landscape architecture. As MLA students in the last semester of the program, the expectation is to execute quality work relative to the approved theoretical and practical proposal of their LA Thesis and Seminar (LA7500), as proposed in the preceding semester. Students are required to work regularly with their Thesis Advisor to communicate and present their progress, and to formulate and refine the criteria for determining the success of the Thesis project. The final product is to demonstrate an applied understanding of the complexities of the profession at the standard of contemporary professional practice.
