This class exposes students to the rigors of college reading and writing, covering a variety of techniques, with special emphasis on analysis and contextualization of texts, description, thesis development, and correct use of outside sources. There are 3-4 papers, done in multiple drafts as well as a presentation. The course will use weekly readings and writing assignments and a process of discussion and peer review to support critical thinking and reflection while developing expository writing skills.
